Scarce ca 1940 Bell Aircraft Employee Lapel Pin in Sterling by Whitehead & Hoag

This is Scarce circa 1940 Bell Aircraft Employee Lapel Pin in Sterling by Whitehead & Hoag. Bell was an aircraft manufacturer, founded in 1935, most notable for the Bell X-1, the first supersonic aircraft. The company also provided a variety of fighter aircraft during WWII. The lapel pin is enameled brass and reads: "BELL AIR CRAFT".

Approximately 5/16" in height x 3/4" in width.

Gilt brass and enamel.

Single screw post with disc backing.
