Description
This is a silver level lapel pin for wartime service by Whitehead & Hoag for wartime service in the Manhattan Project. "Manhattan Project" was the codename for the combined effort of the United States Army Corps of Engineers, along with Britain and Canada, to produce the first atomic bomb. The pin reads A BOMB at center.
VINTAGE:Circa World War II.
SIZE:Approximately 11/16" in diameter.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Sterling silver.
ATTACHMENT:Vertical pin with drop-in locking swivel catch.
MARKINGS:WHITEHEAD-HOAG STERLING.

CONDITION:7 (Very Fine): The pin shows some light wear and small spots of minor oxidation; pin-back is slightly kinked but fully functional.
