This is a scarce circa 1930s police detective badge from New Orleans, Louisiana. The badge is numbered 204 on the cut-out star at center. Instead of the more typical "circle star" design, this impressive badge has a head-turning "crescent" star design.

Approximately 2-3/16" in diameter.

Gilt brass.
