Description
This is a scarce circa 1930s Littleton, Colorado Fire Department Fire Operator badge numbered The fire operator had responsibilities having to do with fire alarms and signals. Littleton was incorporated as a city in 1890 decades after it first was a part of the Pike's Peak Gold Rush, and it was named after a New Hampshire entrepreneur, Richard Sullivan Little. It is within the Denver metropolitan area. The badge has a raised hand grasping lightning bolts at its center.
VINTAGE:Circa 1930s.
SIZE:Approximately 2-1/2" in height and 1-3/4" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Plated brass.
ATTACHMENT:Vertical pin with drop-in locking swivel catch.
