Description

ARTIFACT:

This is a circa 1930s Littleton, Colorado Fire Department engineer badge. Littleton was incorporated as a city in 1890 decades after it first was a part of the Pike's Peak Gold Rush, and it was named after a New Hampshire entrepreneur, Richard Sullivan Little. It is within the Denver metropolitan area. The badge is numbered 11 and has a small raised steam engine at its center.

VINTAGE:

Circa 1930s.

SIZE:

Approximately 2-9/16" in height and 1-3/4" in width.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Plated brass.

ATTACHMENT:

Vertical pin with drop-in locking swivel catch.

ITEM NOTES:

This is from an old Colorado fire and rescue badge collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. MCJX14 LADEX2/14 SGGX2/15

CONDITION:

7- (Very Fine-): The badge has a couple of small spots of moderate wear and tarnish; slight outward dent in "Engineer" area; catch can be a bit sticky but is manageable.
