ARTIFACT: This is a paperback first edition World War II unit history of the United States Army 357th Infantry Regiment Activated March 25, 1942, the 357th was assigned to the 90th Infantry Division. The group participated in European campaigns in France and Germany. This small booklet was compiled by S. Sgt. George von Roeder, and was printed in Bavaria in 1945. Attached to the last page is a fold-out battle route map.

VINTAGE: Circa 1945 (just after World War II).

SIZE: 74 pages (plus fold-out map) with black-and-white photographs and illustrations; approximately 7-1/2" in height and 5-5/8" in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Printed paper.

ATTACHMENT: Taped and stapled binding.

MARKINGS: First Edition printed by the Ferdinand Nickl Buchdruckerei Weiden, Oberpfalz, Bavaria.

ITEM NOTES: This is from a United States Army collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. MBJX96 LAAEX5/13

CONDITION: 6+ (Fine-Very Fine): The book is yellowed and has some areas of staining to the covers and some of the pages inside; some minor ripping away from the staples near end of book (see photo).
