Description

ARTIFACT:

Rare WWII WASP (Women Air Force Service Pilots) poster image of Fifinella, the friendly female gremlin drawn by Roald Dahl for the big screen but instead adopted by the WASPS as their mascot, with "319th A.A.F.F.T.D (Army Air Force Female Training Detachment) written beneath. The 319th was located at the Metropolitan Airport in Houston, Texas and the total number of WASP pilots numbered just over 1000 women.
