Rare WWII USN Liberty Pass for Sailor Aboard USS Bennington CV-20

ARTIFACT:

This is a rare World War II liberty pass issued to a sailor on board the United States Navy USS Bennington CV-20. The pass was issued to Anthony P. Genta (AMM1c), an Aviation Machinists Mate First Class. The Bennington was an aircraft carrier launched at New York Navy Yard on February 26, 1944.

VINTAGE:

Circa World War II.

SIZE:

Approximately 2-1/4" in height and 3-3/4" in width.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Paper, celluloid.

Staple.
