ARTIFACT: This is a rare jacket patch for the 351st United States Marine Observation, then later, Fighter Squadron (VMO-351 / VMF-351). The unit was commissioned as an Observation Squadron but received Fighter Training and was redesignated as a VMF Squadron on January 31, 1945 when stationed on board the USS Commencement Bay and later on the USS Cape Gloucester. The patch shows the head of a great bulldog with devil horns.

VINTAGE: Circa World War II.

SIZE: Approximately 4-15/16" in diameter.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Printed on leatherette.

ATTACHMENT: To be sewn onto Flight Clothing.

MARKINGS: N/A.
