ARTIFACT:

This is a rare World War II "E" award letter opener for Doehler-Pottstown. The letter opener is quite ornate and resembles a stiletto knife. The front reads DOEHLER POTTSTOWN with a logo and the reverse reads FOR OUTSTANDING ACHIEVEMENT 1942 1944 and shows the Army-Navy flag with a wreathed E.
VINTAGE:Circa World War II.
SIZE:8-1/2" in length and 2-3/8" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Wartime shortages materials: silver plated white metal.

CONDITION:7 (Very Fine): Opener has moderate wear especially at tip and a medium tarnish.
