Description
Rare WWI United States Army Signal Corps Type 64 Megaphone with extremely rare leather carrying strap. The painted, formed fiberboard megaphone features a painted aluminum mouthpiece and painted brass ring on open end. It is joined with painted steel fasteners and along the seam reads: "SIGNAL CORPS U.S. ARMY". The leather strap is adjustable and features a steel buckle, it is affixed to the megaphone with painted steel and brass fixtures.

SIZE:Approximately 17-1/8" in height; 2-1/2" top diameter; 6-7/8" bottom diameter; Strap: 40".

CONDITION:8- (Very Fine&emdash;Excellent): The megaphone shows moderate to heavy wear, the leather strap is brittle, but intact, much of the painted details remain, overall excellent condition.
