This is a rare variant 1918 pattern (World War I) Royal Air Force pilot wing with a dark green wreath. This variant design is shown on page 58 of Warren Hasty Carroll's "Eagles Recalled: Pilot and Aircrew Wings of Canada, Great Britain and the British Commonwealth 1913-1945".
VINTAGE:Circa World War I.
SIZE:Approximately 1-9/16" in height and 4-3/16" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Wool felt with cotton/silk embroidery, mesh backing.
