ARTIFACT: This is a rare and transitional circa 1980 United Air Lines line pilot wing 5th issue. This was for a line pilot with 30 to 34 years of service with the airline. It has four stars in an arc at the top and a diamond chip in a setting beneath the enameled logo. The wing is by Leavens Manufacturing of Attleboro, Massachusetts.

VINTAGE: Circa 1980.

SIZE: Approximately 15/16" in height and 3-5/16" in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Gilt and nickel-plated brass, enamel, diamond chip.

ATTACHMENT: Two screw posts with disc backings.

MARKINGS: LEAVENS MFG. ATTLEBORO, MASS.

CONDITION: 8- (Very Fine-Excellent): The wing has a few very small spots of light wear.
