ARTIFACT: Rare title, 1930's Ð 1940's United States Customs Deputy Surveyor hat badge in near mint condition. The black and white enameled badge depicts the US Seal, spread-winged eagle in the center with an enameled shield on its chest, above it reads: "U. S. CUSTOMS" and below, "DEPUTY SURVEYOR".

VINTAGE: Circa 1930's Ð 40's

SIZE: Approximately 2-3/4" x 1-7/8"

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Enameled gilt brass

ATTACHMENT: Single post with screwback and two stabilizer pins

MARKINGS: None.

ITEM NOTES: This is from a police and law enforcement collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. VBJJM15 LFGEX1/16 SFJJX2/16

CONDITION: 9 (Excellent&emdash;Near Mint): The badge shows minor to moderate wear, much of the enamel and gilt details remain intact, near mint condition.
