ARTIFACT: This is a rare theatre-made World War II distinctive insignia for the United States Army 410th Infantry Regiment, 103rd Infantry Division (aka "Cactus Division"). The 103rd served in the European Theatre of Operations, including in France, Germany and Austria. The DI is a small shield in brass with an applied decal. The DI reads SUPER ARDUA SURGO (I Rise Above Difficulties) and shows the "Zia sun" from the New Mexico flag.

VINTAGE: Circa World War II.

SIZE: Approximately 1-1/8" in height and 7/8" in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Brass, decal.

ATTACHMENT: Vertical safety-style pin.

MARKINGS: None.

ITEM NOTES: This is from a WWII United States Army distinctive insignia collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months MBJX14 LDEJX5/14

CONDITION: 6+ (Fine-Very Fine): The DI has some areas of medium wear and minor tarnish.
