Description

ARTIFACT:

This is a circa 1900 Saint Louis Ð San Francisco Railroad ("Frisco Lines") employee badge. The badge is a simple oval and is engraved with the words ST L. Ð S. F. R.R. STATION MAIL EMPLOYEE.

VINTAGE:

Circa 1916.

SIZE:

1-3/16" height and 1-9/16" width.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Nickel-plated brass.

ATTACHMENT:

Horizontal nickel-plated brass pin with "C" catch.

CONDITION:

7 (Very Fine): Badge shows slight wear on the engraving and there are limited areas of discoloration on the reverse.
