These are rare French-made WWI US Army Medical Officer Sanitation Corps Branch of Service insignia. The pins are in the shape of a staff with wings, with two snakes coiling around it from bottom to top. It's a very symmetrical piece with excellent detail in the wings. Each pin has an "S" in the middle to represent the Sanitation Corps.
Approximately 1-1/8" in height x 1" in width, Each.
MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION:
Vertical pins with open C catches.
This is from a US Army collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. MHX17 LAGEX02/17 SAGEX04/19/21
9 (Excellent-Near Mint): These pins have held up beautifully, however there is some warping on the catches.
GUARANTEE: As with all my artifacts, this piece is guaranteed to be original, as described.
