ARTIFACT: This is a rare mimeographed World War II unit history for the United States Army 3803rd Quartermaster Truck Company (QM Trk Co.), entitled "Archive". The front cover is addressed to Mrs. Jack N. Cunningham of Homer New York, presumably either the wife or mother of the soldier. The book includes the unit's activities through V-E Day (May 8, 1945) and is peppered with humorous illustrations. On the reverse of page 16 the soldier explains that he joined the Company at Brest, France on August 11, 1944 after being shuffled to and fro for a few months. The final pages give a list of decorated members as well as the unit roster, and a message from "Jackie".

VINTAGE: Circa World War II.

SIZE: 58 single-sided pages including black and white illustrations; approximately 10-1/4" in height and 7-7/8" in width and ¼" in thickness.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Paper cover, paper.

ATTACHMENT: Stapled binding.

MARKINGS: To: Mrs. Jack N. Cunningham 4 King Street Homer New York written on front cover; message written on back of page 16; message written on last page; some roster addresses circled and accompanied by notes.
