ARTIFACT: This is a rare mimeographed World War II unit history for the United States Army 3803rd Quartermaster Truck Company (QM Trk Co.), entitled "Archive". The front cover is addressed to Mrs. Jack N. Cunningham of Homer New York, presumably either the wife or mother of the soldier. The book includes the unit's activities through V-E Day (May 8, 1945) and is peppered with humorous illustrations. On the reverse of page 16 the soldier explains that he joined the Company at Brest, France on August 11, 1944 after being shuffled to and fro for a few months. The final pages give a list of decorated members as well as the unit roster, and a message from "Jackie".
