ARTIFACT:
This is a World War II unit history of the United States Army Air Forces 16th Bombardment Group published by the Group Intelligence Section. Part of the 315th Bomb Wing, the 16th Bombardment Group served at Guam. It was comprised of Headquarters, 16th Bomb Group, along with the 15th, 16th and 17th Bomb Squadrons, each of which has a section in this volume. There are several great black-and-white photographs, including some before-and-after shots of bombing targets, as well as cartoon illustrations throughout. The unit history comes with a separate 16th Group personnel home address roster.

History: 56 pages, approximately 10-1/2"e; in height and 8-1/8" in width; roster: 37 pages, just a little narrower than and about same height as history.

Oaktag cover, paper.
