Description
This is a Rare Model 1933 SS Dagger manufactured by Boker. It is marked on the cross guard with a Roman numeral I for the Munich Distribution Center. The reverse of the blade shows signs of having been an Ernst Rohm Presentation Dagger and having the inscription obliterated as was mandated after the June 1934 "Night of the Long Knives" purge of Rohm and his supporters within the SA (Sturmabteilung). One side of the blade is inscribed with the words: Meine ehre heist treue (Heist My Honor is Truth). It is rare to find these early Boker-made SS Daggers, but extremely rare to find one that was a Rohm Presentation Dagger.
