Description

ARTIFACT:

This is a rare trench dagger made in France for trench fighting. The dagger was likely made by an American soldier, and parts of the handle are made from both a French bullet and either an American or British one. The blade resembles a Phillips head screwdriver blade and there is a decorative brass top.

VINTAGE:

Circa World War I.

SIZE:

Approximately 12-1/8" length and 2-3/4" width.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Steel and brass.
