Rare Late 1940s USAF Type A-17 Pilot's Watch by Waltham Watch Co.

This is a rare United States Air Force Model A-17 "Hack" pilot's wristwatch by Waltham Watch Company. Manufacturing watches since 1850, the Waltham Watch Company operated under several names and in 1907 settled on sharing names with the second Massachusetts town to headquarter the company. The watch features its original, unrestored 24-hour dial and original strap.

Circa late 1940s.

Approximately 8-3/4" in length and 1-5/16" in width (bezel with crown).

Case=nickel plated brass; strap = cotton; crystal = original plastic.

Strap with buckle.
