This is a Rare Late 1920's New York State Department Of Public Works, Division of Canals, Lock Operator Badge. Control Number on back #269. 

Circa 1920s.

Approximately 2-5/8" in height x 1-13/16" in width.

Nickel-plated brass with painted lettering.

Vertical kick pin with locking drop-in swivel catch.
