Description
This is a rare hand-made and hand-compiled "Narrative History and Mission Reports of the 11th Bomb Squadron China 1942-45". The 11th Bomb Squadron was attached to the 14th Air Force, and the book covers their activities in the China-Burma-India theatre, especially during the Hengyang Battle. Hengyang had a railroad terminal and a strategic airport used by the American Volunteer Group (aka "Flying Tigers), and so it was a crucial target for the Japanese. The 11th flew B-25s and their missions #274-545 are detailed within. The book is not illustrated but has many tables and charts. The cover bears a wonderful hand-painted 11th insignia.
