Description
Rare, early WWII era Silver Grade, Officer's Bulgarian Infantry Award of Honour, early numbered example. The beautifully enameled badge features a nicely detailed soldier's bust in the center (facing viewer's right) with a blade rising up from the center of his neck in high relief detail encircled by a wreath. The top center shows an enameled shield in red, white, and green with gilt details showing a letter, crown, and Roman numeral. The center of the base of the medal shows a Maltese cross in red enamel with a griffin in the center and a white ring surrounding and crossed swords behind, to the viewer's right is the #8.
