Rare Circa 1944-1945 USAAF 23rd Fighter Group, 14th AF Patch US-Made

This is a rare circa 1944-1945 United States Army Air Forces 23rd Fighter Group, 14th Air Force patch in embroidered twill. The 23rd were the successors to the legendary American Volunteer Group, the Flying Tigers. This patch is US-made and features a great embroidered winged tiger against a light blue background. It was removed from a jacket.

Circa 1944-1945 (World War II).

Approximately 5-3/8" in height and 4-3/8" in width.

Twill patch embroidered in cotton/silk threads, mesh backing.
