This is a rare circa 1922 USPO letter carrier hat badge from Mesa, Arizona. Mesa was officially founded in 187The badge is numbered 2 and is slightly convex. It has an N.C. Walter & Sons of New York maker mark on reverse.
VINTAGE:Circa 1922.
SIZE:Approximately 2-1/16" in height and 2-7/16" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Plated brass.
ATTACHMENT:Two loops with ornate stick pin.
MARKINGS:2 on front; N.C. WALTER & SONS NEW YORK on reverse.
