Rare circa 1916 98th Canadian Expeditionary Force (CEF) Officer's collar insignia in bronze and silver and made into a sweetheart pin. The 98th Battalion was active from November 1915 to October 1916 and was awarded Battle Honours: The Great War in 1916. The badge is a maple leaf and the center shows an oval with the number: "98" in nice, high relief detail and surrounding it reads: "LINCOLN & WELLAND OVERSEAS". The base of the maple leaf shows a banner that reads: "CANADA" in embossed lettering.
