Description

ARTIFACT:

This is a Rare Circa 1855 - 1861 British 65th Regiment of Foot Officer's Shako Helmet Plate. Gilt Brass with lacquered leather Backing. From the period that the Regiment was stationed in New Zealand, which was 1846 to 1865.

VINTAGE:

Circa 1855 - 1861.

SIZE:

Approximately 4-1/8" x 3-5/16"

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Gilt brass with lacquered leather backing.

ATTACHMENT:

Loops for cotter type pin attachment.

7+ (Very Fine - Excellent ): The plate shows some tarnish on obverse, overall very fine condition.
