This is a rare pilot qualification lapel pin for a Convair B-58 Hustler, an aircraft developed in the mid-1950s for the US Air Force and noted for the disturbing sonic boom it produced. The pin is a diamond shape with some black enamel stripes and shading.
VINTAGE:Circa late 1950s.
SIZE:3/4" height and 1/4" width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Sterling silver with black enamel.
ATTACHMENT:Single post with covered clutch-back catch.
MARKINGS:STERLING.
