ARTIFACT: This is a rare United States Army 501st Armored Field Artillery Battalion unit history entitled "Mission Accomplished". The book was printed in Germany in 1946, and displays German fonts on the cover. The 501st was part of the 14th Armored Division during World War II, and this history follows them from October 16, 1942 through their transitions from the United States to France and then to battle in Germany, through June 1, 1945.

VINTAGE: Circa 1946 (post-World War II).

SIZE: 47 pages including black and white photographs: approximately 5-7/8" in width by 8-3/4" in height.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Oaktag cover, paper.

ATTACHMENT: Stapled binding.

MARKINGS: None.

ITEM NOTES: This is from a United States Army collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. MEL95 LCDEX6/13

CONDITION: 7+ (Very Fine+): The book has some light wear to the cover and overall yellowing inside; page 27-28 has a very small tear at the top.
