ARTIFACT: Rare circa 1943 New Jersey Defense Corps / Civil Defense Communicators patch in Bevo weave converted to an armband with elastics attached with aluminum grommets. The center shows a white triangle with the letters: "CD" in the center and "DC" on either side and surrounding it reads: "COMMUNICATIONS NEW JERSEY"

VINTAGE: Circa 1943

SIZE: Approximately 3" x 3"

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Bevo weave, elastic, aluminum grommet

ATTACHMENT: Two elastics for wear as armband

MARKINGS: None.

ITEM NOTES: This is from a Homefront Civil Defense collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. PBJX16 LABEX5/16

CONDITION: 6- (Fine): The patch/armband shows moderate to heavy wear and soiling, the elastics remain intact, overall fine condition.
