This is an aviation document given to a German pilot named Karl Unger by the Italian Royal Air Force in 194He was awarded for his participation in the Balkans campaign of 1940-1941, or the Axis invasion of Greece and Yugoslavia. Unger was responsible for one kill while he was with his squadron, Jagdgeschwader 301.
VINTAGE:Circa 1943.
SIZE:12" height and 8-5/8" width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Printed paper.
MARKINGS:Stamped 24 LUG. 1943 and signed.
