ARTIFACT:

This is a rare circa 1940s Delta Air Lines lapel pin for five years of service. The pin is gold-filled with vibrant red and blue enamel and has a ruby chip at the center of the winged "Delta" sign. It was made by Balfour.

VINTAGE:

Circa 1940s.

SIZE:

Approximately 3/8" in height x 13/16" in length.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Gold-filled, enamel, ruby chip.

ATTACHMENT:

Single screw post with disc backing.

MARKINGS:

LGB (Balfour mark) 1/10 10K G.F. on reverse of pin; L.G. BALFOUR CO. on backing.

ITEM NOTES:

This is from a domestic airline service pin collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. VDJX14 LAGEX2/14 SLBDEX12/19/22

CONDITION:

8 (Excellent-): The pin shows very little wear, mostly to the backing.
