Description
This is a rare circa 1940 Civilian Conservation Corps officer cap badge. The officers of the CCC received this new insignia starting in April 1940 after civilians replaced Reserve member officers. The large badge is gold-plated and has an eagle beneath three capital Cs. The motto "Semper Patria Mea" (Always My Country) is along a banner the bottom.
VINTAGE:Circa 1940.
SIZE:2-3/16" height and 1-11/16" width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Gold-plated brass.
ATTACHMENT:Single screw post with disc backing and two stabilizer pins.
MARKINGS:ACID TEST.
