ARTIFACT: Rare 1930's – WWII United States Army ROTC (Reserve Officer Training Camp) at Harvard University shoulder patch. The red wool felt patch is embroidered with the University's motto: "VE", "RI", "TAS", Veritas or Truth. When Harvard's ROTC unit was established in 1916, it was one of the first in America. After WWII, nearly half of its incoming classes were enrolled in ROTC programs and it ranks among the top for graduates receiving the Medal of Honor, third behind West Point and the US Naval Academy.

VINTAGE: Circa 1930's – WWII

SIZE: Approximately 3-7/8" in height x 3" in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Embroidered wool felt silk/cotton/polyester thread, gauze backing

ATTACHMENT: To be sewn onto a uniform.

MARKINGS: N/A

ITEM NOTES: This is from a US Army ROTC collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. VAEX16 LADEX4/16 SABEX04/12/24

CONDITION: 8 (Excellent-): The patch shows mild wear and light soiling, was removed from clothing.
