ARTIFACT:

This is a rare circa 1930s – World War II Fascist Youth Labor Service non-commissioned officer breast badge. Child labor was reintroduced to Italian society under the Mussolini regime. The badge is diamond-shaped and embroidered in silver bullion. It reads SERVIZIO DEL LAVORO (Work Department).

VINTAGE:

Circa 1930s – World War II.

SIZE:

Approximately 2-11/16" in height by 2-1/4" in width.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Silk, wool felt, bullion embroidery, cotton backing.
