ARTIFACT: This is a rare 1930's New Hampshire Weights and Measures Chief Inspector badge. The badge reads CHIEF INSPECTOR WEIGHTS & MEASURES, N.H. and shows the State of New Hampshire seal with an eagle at top.

This agency had a total of THREE inspectors, and all 3 were absorbed into the newly formed New Hampshire State Police in 1937, making this a direct predecessor badge to the NHSP. 

VINTAGE: Circa 1930s

SIZE: 2-1/8" height and 1-1/4" width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: "Blue" 1930's Chrome-plated brass with black painted letters.

ATTACHMENT: Vertical pin with "C" catch.

MARKINGS: S.H. REESE 57 WARREN ST. NEW YORK, N.Y.
