ARTIFACT: This is a rare New York Harbor Ferries deckhand hat badge used on the Staten Island Ferry in the 1930s. The badge shows the New York City coat of arms along with eagle, anchor and ropes and reads DECKHAND 300.

VINTAGE: Circa 1930s.

SIZE: 2-3/8" height and 2" width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Plated brass with blue enamel.

ATTACHMENT: Two single screw pins with disc backings.

MARKINGS: M. STAFFORD CO. 96 FULTON ST. NEW YORK, N.Y.
