Description

ARTIFACT:

This is a rare circa 1930s Czech Republic MLL (Masaryk Air League) glider badge 2nd Class. MLL was named for Tom‡ Garrigue Masaryk, champion of Czech independence and the first Czechoslovakian president. Some MLL members flew with the British Royal Air Force during the German occupation of Czecholslovakia. The beautifully enameled badge shows two seagulls flying against a cobalt blue background.

VINTAGE:

Circa 1930s.

SIZE:

Approximately 5/8" in diameter.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Enameled brass.

ATTACHMENT:

Lapel stud.

MARKINGS:

KARNET KYSELY PRAMA.

CONDITION:

7 (Very Fine): The pin has some minor crazing and a couple of small bits of enamel missing; tarnish on the reverse.
