This is a rare circa 1929-1931 pilot wing for Lignes Aerienne Farman SGTA (Farman Airlines), a French company that operated from 1919-1933 before it was absorbed into Air France. The wing is in a gorgeous Art Deco design with two mirrored capital Fs at center and a five-pointed star at top, all in beautiful red and metallic threads.
VINTAGE:Circa 1929-1931.
SIZE:Approximately 1-3/4" in height and 4-1/16" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Wool felt with silk/cotton and bullion embroidery, paper backing.
ATTACHMENT:None.
