This is a rare United States Mail Rural Free Delivery hat badge from the 1920s or 1930s used in Erie, Pennsylvania.
VINTAGE:Circa 1920s-1930s.
SIZE:1-1/2" height and 2-1/2" width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Silver-plated nickel.
ATTACHMENT:Two nickel-plated round-head type fasteners, each with a single star on its head .
MARKINGS:"U. S. MAIL R.F.D. 8 ERIE, PA.".
