ARTIFACT: Rare 1920's -1930's Oregon Assistant State Fire Marshal badge. The shield shaped badge reads: "OREGON ASSISTANT FIRE MARSHAL" and features the number "322" in the center. The reverse of the plated brass badge has seen a period of use conversion from a pin to a clip. The Oregon office of the State Fire Marshal was established in 1917 and the State Insurance Commissioner serving as State Fire Marshal, it wasn't until 1963, the first officially elected State Fire Marshal took office.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Plated brass and painted details.

ATTACHMENT: Clip.

ITEM NOTES: This is from a fire fighting and rescue collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. VGEX15 LBGEX5/15

CONDITION: 7- (Very Fine-): Badge shows moderate to heavy wear mostly at high points, much of the plating and painted details remain.
