ARTIFACT: Rare 1930's Vermont Forest Service Fire Warden badge. The center of the badge shows the State of Vermont's seal and its motto: "FREEDOM AND UNITY" in nice raised detail and surrounding it reads: "FOREST SERVICE", along the top it reads: "VERMONT" and along the bottom: "FIRE WARDEN" in black enamel lettering. The badge is the same size and style as the Vermont Fish & Game Warden Badge (see link below).

VINTAGE: Circa 1930's

SIZE: Approximately 1-1/2" x 1-1/8"

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Copper and enamel

ATTACHMENT: Vertical safety style pin with saddle

MARKINGS: None.

ITEM NOTES: This is from a fire fighting and rescue collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. MDEX15 LAGEX4/16 SAGEX-GCIEX-SHAX6/16

CONDITION: 7- (Very Fine-): The badge shows minor to moderate wear mostly to bottom, much of the enamel details remain intact, overall very fine condition.
