Description
This is a great rare circa 1900 California State Board of Health inspector badge with a painted red cross at its center. The badge is by Moise-K of San Francisco, and is maker-marked on reverse. This is a rare badge, and may have been worn by an inspector during the bubonic plague outbreak of 1900-1906.
VINTAGE:Circa 1900.
SIZE:Approximately 1-11/16" in height and 1-3/8" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Chrome-plated brass, painted area.
ATTACHMENT:Vertical safety-style pin (old repair to pin).
