This is a rare circa 1880s or 1890s Mount Vernon, New York Fire Department fireman badge. Mount Vernon is located in southern New York, bordering the Bronx, in Westchester County. The badge is numbered 247 at center.
VINTAGE:Circa 1880s-1890s.
SIZE:Approximately 1-7/8" in diameter.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Nickel-plated brass, brass.
ATTACHMENT:Vertical kick pin with C catch.
MARKINGS:None.
