This is a wonderful circa 1870s or 1880s Montpelier, Vermont Police badge in what appears to be silvered white metal. The badge is shield-shaped with two applied banners. Montpelier is the smallest U.S. capital city and birthplace to famed USN Admiral Dewey.
VINTAGE:Circa 1870s-1880s.
SIZE:Approximately 2-3/8" in height and 2-1/8" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Silvered white metal.
ATTACHMENT:Vertical safety pin.
MARKINGS:None.
