This is a circa 1870s-1880s Norwich, Connecticut Fire Department badge in silver-plated brass. The badge shows a fireman's hat, axes, ladder, horn and other paraphernalia at center and is numbered 972.
VINTAGE:Circa 1870s-1880s.
SIZE:2-5/16" height and 1-11/16" width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Silver-plated brass.
ATTACHMENT:Vertical kick pin with "C" catch.
MARKINGS:Initials or name scratched on reverse (FW KIND?).
