ARTIFACT: Pre/Early WWII United States Army Camp Edwards large sweetheart pin with dance card pencil ornament. The pin is a large, beautiful eagle with wings spread and it bears a red, white, and blue painted disc on its chest that reads: "US CAMP EDWARDS" and depicts a nicely detailed Great Seal of the United States. Suspended from the eagle is a mechanical pencil ornament.

VINTAGE: Circa 1940

SIZE: Approximately 1-7/8" x 1-7/8" w/ pencil: 1-7/8" x 4-3/4"

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Painted and lacquered brass

ATTACHMENT: Horizontal safety style pin.

MARKINGS: None.

ITEM NOTES: This is from a WWII US Homefront & Sweetheart collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. MABX15 LFJX1/16

CONDITION: 8+ (Excellent): The sweetheart pin shows minor to moderate wear mostly to edges, lead is missing from pencil, nearly all of the enamel and plated details remain fully intact, overall excellent condition.
