ARTIFACT: This is a World War II United States Army Signal Corps Camp Crowder sweetheart pin in sterling silver. Camp Crowder was formed as an armor training center in 1941 in Neosho, Missouri. It is notably the spot where TV characters Rob and Laura Petrie of The Dick Van Dyke show are to have met. The pin has a bar reading CAMP CROWDER from which a wreathed signal corps symbol hangs.

VINTAGE: Circa World War II.

SIZE: Approximately 15/16" in height and 13/16" in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Sterling silver.

ATTACHMENT: Horizontal pin with C catch; suspension loop; chain link.

MARKINGS: STERLING on both pieces.

ITEM NOTES: This is from a United States Army collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. VEX97 LCDX8/11 SCDX7/13

CONDITION: 6+ (Fine-Very Fine): The pin shows some areas of medium to heavy wear and tarnish; end of pin is slightly bent but still catches.
